𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘀. ⁣

Really, I hate to admit it, but I am “that friend”. ⁣

-I’ll poke fun at characters for dumb moves.⁣

-I have to get my 2 cents in on the fashion choices the costume designer made.⁣

-Probably the most annoying quality of them all, I can spot plot lines and predict what’s gonna happen next.⁣

And I’m almost always right. 😂⁣

Now you could probably say it’s because I’ve been writing for a while, stories just run deep in me. You probably also heard things like “𝘛𝘝 𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯” or whatever bullshit we were fed as kids, but it’s actually the opposite.⁣ TV doesn’t rot the brain, dopamine driven entertainment does. ⁣And I’m not good writer because I was born with it, 𝗜’𝗺 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗩 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵. ⁣(But more on me being a good writer some other time.)

I know, I know, it sounds all messed up but hear me our for a second: a good story is a good story. ⁣

⁣

It doesn’t matter if it’s given to you in a book, at the movies, or on your TV screen: good stories are 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦.⁣

So, while my obsession for watching almost all of Netflix seemed like wasted time at first, it actually turned into a huge strength for me. You observe anything for long enough, you’ll start to see patterns and great stories are no different. ⁣

So while I was “studying” even when I didn’t know I was studying, I picked up on something: 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀.⁣

Which means they also have patterns we can predict.⁣

This was 𝗛𝗨𝗚𝗘 for me when I started to apply this to my copy.⁣

⁣

For me, copywriting is just using communication and connection to convert clients through conversation.⁣

In order to properly connect and communication  with someone, you gotta be curious.⁣

⁣

𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀.⁣

Once you do that, it’s only just a matter of time before you’re figuring out the next move. ⁣

And if you can figure out the next move, their next desire, their next obstacle, 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁.
